Doyley - 3 goals and then injured again

I know he only kicked a couple on Saturday night but is anyone else sick of Doyley teasing us with some great grabs, great goals and then not finishing a game.

    Richmond 2002
    Port 2002
    Carlton 2003

Doyley, do us all a big favour and stay on the track, we need ya pal.

Goodes was superb and quite frankly it will take a special athlete to compete with him this year and run with him.

Bally was underdone and is working his way back into form. He couldn't really get a touch in the forward line but I thought his rucking was good. He is smarter than your average tall gorilla and got a couple of deft handpasses out.

It was two goals, I think. Any word yet on how serious it is?

Doyle has great hands, such a shame he keeps on breaking down...lets hope it isnt for too long, he is a great option in ruck or up forward.

I didnt look serious. He stayed on the ground for a few minutes afterwards.

They said on TV it was knee cap related, so at worst it would be a minor dislocation (2 weeks) or just bruised (1 week tops).
If its his calf, then he came back too early. Could be a few weeks out to get it right.

As long as Goodes and Ball keep up the good work, we can cover him.

        He is exciting though!

i really like doyle... i was watching the 97 QF against the bullys on FFX and it made me remember how bloody useless carey and stafford were!!! im glad we got rid of the tall hacks and got some skilful ones now, but they arent much good to us when they arent out there... probably more helpful than carey and stafford were on the field though!

doyle should be right, he has a huge future...

Doyle is great - I loke most of you hope he is okay and cleared to play in a week or two at most. He did the injury when he tried to kick around a corner so to speak.

Great hands to grab that ball and he is a keen team member from what I can gather.

Exciting match now bring on freo and hope we nail them too.
            Love those Swans

Im ot sure if i heard it right or not but didnt longmuire report at 3/4 time that Doyle could come back on if it got desperate?
              - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

I actually thought Carey was pretty good in 97, though I have no intention of ever watching that particular QF ever ever again. I seem to remember he polled quite well in the Rising Star award that year. To be fair to him, I think he was injured (back?) for most of the rest of his career - one of those injuries that enables you to play but just makes it really hard, especially for taller guys.

And Staff was a good player for Sydney until midway through 2000.

carey that day had a shocker, ie couldnt catch a mark all day... i never rated staf or carey, their ability to kick to the opposition was exceptional

I sure hope Ball is feeling ready for some ruck-work then

Could Doyle have any worse injury luck?
