I know what you mean Penga ......I just feel it's only a matter of time before Ball is back on the injured list.

Maybe they could just play him home games

I'm just trying to work out how you crack a knee cap by kicking a ball around the corner????

He must have got a knock earlier on surely.

well actually i thought he had done it before coz when he took his first mark i noticed he came down very awkwardly, it seemed evident from 150m away, however he did get up and was fine for a while, maybe it was a combination of his mark and the shot for goal

God Damn, this is no good. 2 injury prone ruckman and after 1 round 1 is injuried. Goodes has a bigger job to do this week.
            Once was, now elsewhere

i think doyle is a real good player and set to be a superstar within swans ranks however i dont think he was absolutley key to swans success this season, ie the more i think about it anyway... ie he shows all this promise and gets injured again, however if one of our key players goes down thats where im gonna start to stress further... doyle is a strengthener to the side but not key, if (and this is a big IF) Ball stays fit, i think we will be pretty right in the ruck department with goodes

anyways i wish him a speedy recovery, i do wanna see him on the paddock and not on the injury list

Just another Ryan FitzGerald.... Tons of talent, and I love his attitude, but he is just as prone to breaking down!! Hope he comes back ok - I don't think he's ever strung more than a couple of games together

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

i really hope he gets over it...

if fitzy goes back to SANFL or whatever and has a blinder would it be a stupid idea to rerecruit him ie through the preseason draft? how old is he, does anyone know?

Fitzy would be 27 now I think... was about 23 when we got him. Which actually makes me wonder why he was suddenly worth a top 4 draft pick...

I'm starting to despair about Doyle... full of natural ability... but so unreliable with injuries. I know it's not his fault... but we've put all our eggs in two very brittle baskets as far as the ruck is concerned...

There could be a chance of Mielkejohn getting a fair few games this year now with Doyle out for most of the year. He looked alright when I saw him play preseason.

It was always on the cards
                              If not Doyle, then Ball.

This was the basis of my argument re Mott.
Admittedly that was early on before all the facts were known, and I accepted the delisting of him.
Just would have thought we would have grabbed a big fella in the draft and been ready to throw him in like we did with Mott.

I mean, it IS supposed to be a rebuilding phase...
The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.

Well Mott has gone (Back of the mind we all knew that this could hurt) - Hope Jason Ball can keep fit? Don't need another on the side lines...... (Alright I said it - sorry - shouldn't have even thought it........)

I wonder who will be elevated to snr list??? )Another Irish option??? Any other talls on the rookine list?
