Pre Match Meet vs Tigers at the Cricketers Arms

With one match remaining in the Home and Away season and a birth in the finals all wrapped up, the Swans return to Melbourne for their last trip before the finals begin to play Richmond. This match gives us a chance to gain some revenge on the Tigers after they shocked us and the football world in Round 7 at the SCG when they beat us. Also the importance of going into the finals with a big can't be understated.

Therefore with the match to be at the MCG, we return to our pre match venue for MCG matches - The Cricketers Arms. Hopefully the weather this time will be kinder to us and allow us to sit out in the Beer Garden, but if not we'll take up camp inside next to the Garden like last time.

Those who haven't been to the Arms, there isn't a great deal of options for food, just a BBQ out the back which last time wasn't that good. Still the place has plenty of grog and you'll have (hopefully) some good company. Kids are more than welcome at the Arms so bring them along if you want to.

Where: The Cricketers Arms. 327 Punt Rd, Richmond. On the corner of Punt Road and Tanner Street (Map). Right across the road from Punt Road Oval and an easy walk from the MCG and Richmond Train Station.

    When: From 11am.

MCG Gates open at 12pm and the Car Opens a bit earlier check Herald Sun later in the week for details. We move across to the ground at about 1pm and take up camp once again with the Swans Cheer Squad.

Also don't forget the After Match Function at the SMSC at Lake Oval after the match and the RWO Pasta and Pizza dinner after that.

Have been on anti-biotics for nearly a month JM because of a sore leg. But am allowing myself a day off them on Saturday. Woohoo, bring on the Strongbows!!! LOL

Am flying for free thanks to the $1000 in reward points I get as part of my salary. Stupid me bought $400 in Kmart vouchers for things no longer on the shelf. Now I'm stuck with them when I could do with them over the next month.

If we make the GF that would mean 5 weekends in a row in Melbourne. Hey, its nice down there, but.......

If so, I think a few car sojourns are in order. (Peter_H/Benny_w HELP!!!!!!)

The forecast for Melbourne on Saturday is for fine weather, with a maximum of 19, a pleasant winter's day. I guess we'll be in the beer garden.

I'll be there enjoying a few quiet ones.

A few beers and a quick walk to the "G" - what could be better on a Saturday!

... I guess it could be even better if we win - I've got a bad feeling about this game...

I think it will be a bit like the Melbourne game in the corresponding round last year; a game that stresses you out heaps but one where our overall class will show in the last quarter.

Here's hoping hey. I'm packing my things as I write this.
