    Time to go... Fixter

Ben Fixter, highly regarded by many (myself included) is listed as "indefinite" on the recent injury list from the swans website. He may be talented, but I think it has to be time to cut our losses with him.He may just never get over the injurys.

The guy is only 23 and could be anything. Give him a break FFS.

It would be sad to see him go but if he is going to become baggage then so be it.

The decks need clearing. Put him on the list with Warfe and Fossie.

I mean really, its obvous to everyone that fixter just doesnt cut it. Insted of wasting our time with no hopers we should be building for the future. Trade him for a forth round draft pick with some potential.

How is this club ever going to win a premeirship if they keep hanging onto players with talent they should just cut there losses and start all over again with another player no more likely to succeed, who wont play next year but its ok because theyd only be 18 not over the hill at 22.

BRB - sorry mate, but your post reminds me of another's just a little bit too much.

I say keep him for at least one more season.

Would be nice to know a bit more about his injury(ies)

I would like to keep him, is he too old for rookie list?

Just with his injuries they just seem to be one after another. We do have plenty of his types in the side.

RHave we all forgotten how long heath james was injured for before he finally got game in?? He is young and should be given at least another seanson or two to proove his worth. He was very good in the seniors not so long ago before he got injured running off half back. Lay off him abit huh.

Very good point. Could be that it was decided to let him take a complete break given he was probably not going to regain full fitness this year.

Don't forget Roos had him in his top 22. We know he has the talent, but do we go for a draft pick say 45 to replace him at age 23?

Eade would pick him up and he is one that would bit us on the bum.

This is all well and good with Heath James, but he isnt getting into the senior team for one reason or another.Like I posted previously, he may get over the injurys and not be able to get into the team, whether that be good or bad, I dont know.

IMO we do have a problem with getting our Senior List down to 35. I've laid out the problem here:

IMO Fixter could very well go, along with Sunny and Malceski (Rookie list?), or we will have to trade away more players than we get back.

I completely agree. The guy is hard at the footy and has not only fairly decent skills but a great attitude.

No way should we get rid of him. He just needs an injury-free full season to show us his worth.

I like Fixter - good player. Hopefully he can recover from his injuries long term as I think he can be a very valuable player for us.
