Jude seems like a lovely bloke, but geesh, what a yawn!
Gave us no insight and was basically a waste of Fox Footy's money. Unfortunately the next flight back into Sydney isn't till tomorrow morning, so the poor buggers have had to fork out for a hotel room for him too.The Pain of Discipline is Nothing Like The Pain of DisappointmentComment

He might have been a little nervous and that's not his fault, if Gerard wanted someone with a little more character who would use his own opinions, he should have gone for Kirky, Bally or Schaubes or even Goodesy.
All these guys would have given them better value for money. The Pain of Discipline is Nothing Like The Pain of DisappointmentComment

Are you saying that the ink is on the paper, therefore excluding any possibility of him being traded this year under the 'Heffernan Rule'. If so, well at least there's closure. Meh.Originally posted by simone
He just confirmed he's got another 3 years at Sydney.
So that answers that.Comment

He said he's about to sign his deal - hasn't done so yet.
Was rather dull, but then again I find most interviews with footballers pretty dull. Much prefer to get the coaches on - at least they have something vaguely interesting to say.
Pleased to see they were very focussed on next week rather than finals.
Also interesting to note that he said he knew nothing about what was unfolding on the sidelines in the last quarter of the Kangaroos match.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

So we're actually no further along than previously stated. I can't believe they would sign him before the trade period is over - just seems daft.Originally posted by NMWBloods

You can say that again. Professional athletes in general. The Olympics is killing me: "How do you feel?" "Blah, blah, blah"Originally posted by NMWBloods

Joel Bowden and James Clemment were fantastic interviews.Originally posted by NMWBloods

Joel is one of the most surprisingly articulate and intelligent young men I have seen interviewed.
It's rare to have young fellas with a keen ear, precise and engaging answers but he also had a witty (clean) turn of phrase rare in a full time footy player.
Jude had nothing on these 2 guys, Kirky or Schaubes would have been much more engaging and imaginative. The Pain of Discipline is Nothing Like The Pain of DisappointmentComment

Didn't see Bowden, which obviously seems a pity, as I quite enjoyed most of Clement's. There are definitely exceptions to the rule, but Midaro's comments sum up the vast majority.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

We had Jude at our club launch earlier on this year and he was soooooo much more open in front of our crowd and one on one than that performance on OTC tonight.
I got the feeling he was extreeeeemely wary of saying/divulging something he wasn't meant to.Comment

I tend to agree with you, particuarly when it comes to Andrew Schauble... one of the nicest, brightest footballers you are ever likely to meet.Originally posted by TheHood

He actually said that it was pretty much wrapped up, but didn't say that it was signed. He did say that he wanted to stay here.Originally posted by simone
