Agreed ... I would love to see us give the Tigers a good twonking, that will give them the spoon and us a home final.

Perhaps someone should dress up as The Tick and wave a wooden spoon when we're well up in the last quarter with cries of "SPOON!"

I say this because then we can qualify for the MCG prelim.

      Our run would be:
      v Melbourne (at MCG)
      v Geelong (at MGC)
      v Brisbane @ MCG (Prelim)

      Assuming results go as expected.
I was thinking exactly the same.

However, now that there is talk of getting a home final in Sydney I say win against Richmond.

I hate to see us lose regardless of the situation.

Like others, I don't think we would or should ever contrive to lose a game. But I know what you mean barry - placing 6th puts us in what looks the tougher side of the draw.

Because while a home final in Week 1 of the finals would be great, thereafter we'd have to play Saints away (rather than Geelong away if we'd finished 8th) and the PF would most likely be in Adelaide (rather than v Brisbane at the neutral MCG).

But things never work out like we anticipate, so that's another reason for not worrying about the draw.

I think losing to the wooden-spooners (or there abouts) twice in one season is far too embarrasing to even consider.
