our seats at SA are really bad, we are at HF/HB aisle 111 (Gate E). i sit on the end of the row and if i sit forward about 8 people in my row cant see half of the footy field! the scg is way better as far as im concerned... however once the bandwagon (road train as they were referring in 96) gets going again and we pack at SA, the atmosphere will be overwhelming!

Im ambivalent in the SCG v SA debate. I enjoy both. We sit in the members reserve in both, but from where we sit in SA, the near boundary is obscured (a real pain when rocket was coaching as the ball was mostly on the boundary somewhere) and there doesn't seem to be much room between the rows of seats for people moving in and out. Overall I'd nudge towards the SCG for seating (behind the goals) and atmosphere and SA for the larger dimensions and its potential. It would have been more of a 'cauldron' effect with 30-plus thousand in the SCG... Even with a reasonable 30,000 crowd at SA (how long is it since we got 30,000 at SCG...maybe once or twice last year?) it looked sort of empty..."Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."Comment

I like the SCG a bit more, but SA is the only real option if we're expecting over 45,000 - it's also good from a promotion/growth point of view.
The SCG footy experience is also a bit better, it's more intimate and you are a lot closer to the action. Food and facilities are equally dodgy at both. Transport and parking drainage/cost is much better at homebush.
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....
