No Ottens, Stafford, Hilton and now Zantuck as well.

This would be a massive victory for the Tiges. The Frawley sacking 'emotion' seems to have fizzled IMO. The players will be looking forward to the break and a new start next season.

It is the Tigers final chance to impress before a new coach comes in with a very sharp axe....

      They will be fired up.

Lack of talent means nothing if we are not focused on the job. If we go in with a "nothing to lose" attitude that we seem to put on display against sides like Brisbane and St.Kilda, we should be fine. If we don't...well Richmond could shock us for a 2nd time this year.

Ottens and Stafford would cause us problems....Hilton and Zantuck...nothing special there.

        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

There is a difference between discussing issues and speculating on the future.

Regardless of who you play and what position they are in, you have to respect the opposition. To say that we have to 'beware of the Tigers' is simply a given.

After last years unwinnable match against Port, I would have thought that speculation threads such as 'who would you prefer to play' are a waste of time.

Even more so after the wins against St Kilda and Brisbane this year.

On its day the Swans can beat anyone and on its day the team can lose to anyone.

From listening to Jude Bolton on "On the Couch" I feel the Swans hopefully will be fully switched on - he didn't stumble on their questions and digs - just said - not thinking of finals - just thinking of Satu rday 's game against Richmond - they have Frawley's last game. Seemed different and really has got positive thoughts.
            Love those Swans

Not sure why you bother replying if you think speculating is a waste of time.

This board is full of crap at the best of times - not sure why it matters what topic is discussed. If you think it is silly or whatever, move on to the next one.

whats the difference between speculating on opposition and winnable games, and so on and speculating on player trades or player performance?

By looking at this tread, the fans are more of a rabble than the team .

By I like Roosy's comments. We can only lose this one if we don't take the opposition seriously.

Its the result of going 13 weeks straight without a win, and knowing you're a shoe-in for the spoon. You can sense the bloodlust in each and every one of those guys. Who can blame them? We'd be exactly the same. Not an ounce of sympathy for them though.

This is from the Tigers site...

Hall is a worry, and if Ray Hall does start on him then it really only leaves Marsh to ruck and maybe Schulz.

However, we still have to cover for Davis, O'Loughlin, O'Keefe and the resting ruckman of either Doyle or Ball. Bowden will play on either O'Loughlin or O'Keefe, Gasper will have to take Hall/Doyle or Ball from the square, while Jackson will get Davis and Hartigan & Chaffey will take their small forwards, either Schneider, Buchanan, Bevan or Ablett.

At the other end there will be even more trouble with Barry, Goodes, Schauble, Kennelly, Crouch and Craig Bolton. Richo had a field day kicking 7 when we played them in Sydney, but with Schauble playing this time and filling the hole, it should make Bolton or Barry?s job easier this time. Goodes & Kennelly play a similar role for the Swans to that of Bowden, so Schulz should almost tag Goodes and keep him out of the way, while Weller will have to do the same job on Kennelly, which will leave Crouch to cover Brown when forward and Kirk to cover him in the midfield.

In the middle they will give us a good touch up as well, with Maxfield (why did we let him go?) Kirk, Jude Bolton, Matthews & Williams. Hyde will more than likely get Bolton or Maxfield, while Tivendale will get Matthews and Williams will have a jog around with Campbell, whilst Coughlan will have Kirk take him when not on Brown and Fleming will try and run through Kirk (or anyone else) if he gets half a chance. We will have Rodan, Krakouer and maybe even Tuck/Raines rotating through, while Sydney will give Ablett, Crouch and co. a run through the middle.

Their bench has players on it that would get a start in many other sides, like Nicks, Fosdike, McVeigh and maybe even Roberts-Thomson this week, so it should be a massacre.

The only thing in our favour is that they usually play free flowing & attacking football for 3 qtrs and then strangle the game in the last, but unfortunately by that time we will probably be 7-10 goals behind!
