    Maybe we weren't lucky.....

Last year when we got so far because of accuracy in front of goal.

We have surged late this season and our accuracy has gone up dramatically. Importantly it has been the better efforts from goalkickers 2-4 which has tirned things around.

After Round fifteen, O'Keefe had a disappointing 13.10 (56%) beside his name...not only not enough goals but also not up to his accurate standards.

Mickey Magic had 16.9 (64%) from 9 injury plagued games

Nicky D had 11.3 (78%) from 7 injury plagued games.

Over the last six games, however, these three have scored 36.11 at the spectacular accuracy rate of 75.56%

No wonder we're made it to sixth. These are the type of stats we had for most of last year when these three were fit.

Maybe we weren't lucky last year, maybe our opponents were lucky early in the year that these three weren't fit at the same time?

Individual stats, BTW, for the last six games

    O'Keefe ........15.6 (71.4%)
    O'Loughlin ...16.4 (80%)
    Davis .............5.1 (83.3%) from 3 games

Agreed. As much as the midfields been blamed, theres certainly been times this year when they were getting the ball up there only to be let down by poor conversion.

No coincidence at all that since the 3 you mentioned have all been avaliable at the same time, that things are looking healthier than have in quite in a while.
Sit down or i swear to God i'll have you shot.

And if Schneider is selected - it will be the FIRST time this year that our best forward line has played together (Hall, O'Loughlin, O'Keefe, Davis, Schneider).

Schneider is hardly the man to improve our goalkicking accuracy!!

Schneider has been overtaken by Buchanan this season form wise. If anything our best forward is any 6 players as long as Hall, Magic, O'Keefe and Davis are part of that 6.

If anything our best forward line has only played together 3 times this season since the first half against Brisbane in Round 1- the last 3 weeks.
          Once was, now elsewhere

Roos said that Schneider is unlikely to play this week.

He has also said that he is pushing for selection and he will have a really close look at him at training.

IMO considering what we have to risk this week, its the perfect time to play him. Enough pressure to keep him on edge andworking hard, not enough to have to really rely on him. If his fitness is 90%+ now, he should play this weekend to get his touch back (which our reserves games dont help with).
