I do think it should be taken into consideration when trying though....be very annoying for fans if say Barry Hall missed the AFL grand final because of the birth of his child.

Not sure how many hardcore fans would be saying "that is great", if BBB didn't take his place in the 22 on Grand Final day lol.
sorry my at then end was meant for more in general

... thinking back to my my N Kidman stay away from BBBH comment quote that "woman weaken legs" ... I think you are correct and we have not gone far enough ..no sex except in Oct and Nov! except if you are from a dud team and did not make the finals ... then you should not be getting any anyhow! So I retract all previous quotes and lets put all this in the contracts!

Contraceptives? No way. That way would interfere with our free, open style of play.

The time to try for babies is wider than previously suggested here.

The non-footy season is the start of October to the end of March. Subtract nine months and we get the start of January to the end of June. Allow an extra 4 weeks for premature births and we get the start of February to the end of June as being the best time for footballers to conceive the potential father-son recruits. Conceiving in November, December and January is just asking for trouble because the baby would be born during the crucial last rounds of the season and the finals.
