Over the next few weeks I will go threw each team and list a few possible players we may target
RICHMOND
Don't look to have to much that would really interest us but
TY ZANTUCK
Could do with a new home, is very versatile can play down back or forward and can play on a small or a tall.If he was shopped around I think there would be a fair amount of interest from most teams.Has to control his aggression, Sydney has a history of soothing savaged beasts.
BRAD OTTENS
For me they would ask to much for him and to be honest the jury is still out on him, at the moment he is a just above average Ruckman.Having said that maybe his foot and back injuries have been holding him back. I don't think we could afford to take the punt on a injury prone Ruckman
HAWTHORN
Sure to have alot of changes and may try to dish of some experienced players but will any team be interested?
LUKE BRENNAN
Hawthorns first pick no.8 in 2002.Hasn't really come on and has has had a few niggling injuries, is seen as a key position prospect but may be held back by Croad and Hay if they stay fit.Was a highly rated youngster and couldn't see Hawthorn offering him around but you never know.
CAMPBELL BROWN
LIKE Zantuck he could add real grunt to our side and gives a 110% each week, and has inspired his team mates in the past. Skills at times let him down and to be honest he is not as versatile as Zantuck but could be a handy pick up due to his toughness.
SHANE CRAWFORD
The rumour mill continues to state that he is not a happy camper with the handling of Schwabby's sacking.Couldn't see us getting him as he is old and starting to have trouble with injuries. But a fit crawford in our midfield would be more than handy. He would only be recruited if Roosy could see a preimership in the next 3 years.
Hawthorn would want way to much for him
NATHAN LONIE
Hasn't really set the world alight at Hawthorn but his foot skills would be more than handy running of half back or on the wing.Just doesn't get enough of it
RICK LADSON
Another first round draft pick who has struggled with injuries. This kid can play and has been used mainly as a small forward, but long term could turn into a very handy midfielder.
JONATHON HAY
Very athletic backman who is a former All Australian. Has been cut down by injury in recent years, but when fit is one of the most attacking full backs going around.Wouldn't come cheap but could be the extra tall we are looking for down back.
