    Road Ahead

Obviously we have to take it one week at a time but things are shaped nicely for us.

If we win against the Eagles and (assuming) St Kilda loses - we would play the Saints at the MCG.

There they would be under the pressure of bowing out in straight sets and the fact that it wouldn't be at the Dome is another huge plus.

From there we play the winner of Port-Geelong. Given that its Port we are talking about not even going to bother forecasting that result.

We are playing confident football and everyone is more or less healthy so we are in a great position to make consecutive Preliminary Finals which I think is a fantastic achievement!

Agreed. Everything is going right for Sydney at the right time of year. A full and fit squad to choose from and one that's playing well. Go you SWannies!!!!!

I am still tipping (as I have all year) that we will make the PF for the second year in a row. Regardless we will be outperforming expectations each year. Win or lose, lets hope it takes us the next step forward.

I must admit that I am less confident this year than last about making it past the PF. Port at home just wont lose twice the same way. They kinda showed us that earlier this year. But then again...

That's assuming Port beats Geelong in the first week

When we met Port earlier this year, we had a very long injury list. We were playing just about everybody on our list who could get onto the oval on their own. No wonder we got hammered. If we meet Port in a prelim, we will hopefully be a stronger side.

Just make sure you keep the blood sacrifices flowing for the Injury God.

Looking at it the other way,a good run would be for us to win and play st kilda in week 2,and geelong to beat port so port go on other side of the draw,we beat st kilda and go to prelim against geelong.

Not bad,but as Dawson said, one week at a time.

So far everything is panning nicely - No injuries or reports for us.
To keep the West Coast to four goals is fantastic. To beat one of the form sides going around is a great scalp.

            St Kilda -
*Mentally and physically scarred after their drubbing by Brisbane.
*Key players such as Hamill and Gehrig are carrying injuries.
*May have players reported on video from the match.
*Playing at the MCG and not the Telstra Dome.
*Under immense pressure not to bow out in straight sets.

All in all - a great opportunity to qualify for a second consecutive Preliminary Final.
