'ON THE COUCH' views regarding the game.

It was interesting to hear the comments on the final, they talked about how Roos would try to play tempo footy but Healy was really pumping up West Coast's forward line and midfield. Their midfield is awesome but I think Seaby and Staker whom Healy seems to love are a bit unproven at this point in time.

They didn't mention the Sydney forward line once, it was all about the strength of the West Coast brilliance against the four Sydney hard nuts and how their dominance could feed their forward line.

I can see West Coast having an edge in skill and pace in the midfield but they are still a bit reliant on Matera in the way that Fremantle is reliant on Farmer and Medhurst. MacDougall is the only big bloke who looks threatening on a consistent basis.

On Nick Davis last night Healy gave him praise for his recent performances but a negative for attitude whilst Walls believes lack of desire will stop him from fulfilling his potential and becoming All-Australian (said he is AA material and should be in Sydney's best couple of players).

Cousins and Worsfold were on White Line Fever and didn't give much away. Sounds like Waters is an unlikely starter but they will try and get Kerr over the line.

the journo sheehan did think we had a good chance - likes the way Roos changes the players temp of play and can switch around.
    Love those Swans

As an ex-Swan, Healy's love of the Weagles was disturbing. He left no doubts as to who he thought would win.

I didn't see it like that - sometimes you guys are a bit too sensitive.

Ditto, he was talking like a person who has seen alot of West Coast in the last few weeks. They won't be push-overs thats for sure.

Healy has become a bit obsessed with the Eagles after seeing a lot of them recently in his Sunday role with Foxtel. But it is interesting that he gets sets on players, for eg., Staker and pumps up their tyres. While the Eagles midfield is indeed awesome and damaging what I have seen of them lately is a team which can lairize a bit and hasn't been placed under enormous pressure. They will have the edge in the middle but will be tagged. They have found a defender in Glass but have to match up on more than Hall. Cox looked a bit sore last week.

Yep - I'd generally agree with that. I think hard finals pressure by the Swans, particularly in the midfield, is the key to this game.

Yeah I don't mind the opposition being Hall-centric, because we certainly won't be when it comes to our delivery. Try that crap with Richmond and it might pay off.

Baz will be teamed, there is no doubt about it. He almost has to concede that he will be just a decoy at times. So long as he creates space for Mick and ROK, he will be doing his job.

One of my favourite aspects of good forward play is great defence and locking it in our forward 50 so as to not waste any potential scoring opportunities.

I hope Baz, Mick, ROK, Nick, Bally and Schneides work really hard when we don't have possession to try and rest is back.
