Surely, we must be doing something right?
A stat I would like to see is opposition Inside 50s. I reckon we would have to have the lowest total in this stat.

We clog the opposition's forward line thereby lowering their scoring - our total points conceded is good.

We take the opportunities we get - our conversion of inside 50s is good.

The key stats that show why we've won are (IMHO):

        Points Against - 3rd (82), ave 93

        Conversion - 5th (57%), ave 54%

        I50s/goal - 5th (3.4), ave 3.7

        Marks I50 as % of total I50s - 2nd (30%), ave 26%

We stop our opposition from scoring. We control the ball in the midfield, keeping it off our opponents and gradually working it forward. When we do get the ball inside 50, we try to find an open player, preferably with a mark, and hence we are good at converting I50s into goals.

        That's about it really!

          Opposition I50 ave 43.

Almost certainly one the lowest opposing I50 in the competition.

              or

I then take a lot of them and put them into a spreadsheet, which I've only maintained on and off this year.

Another point with the inside 50's ...... How many times has a side gone inside 50 without any team mates there??

I remember 3 demons running back to our F50 to fetch a ball in the last qtr. and not a swan to be seen.
