    Their form is good.

Will not be a walkover. If we try and negate them too muchin the middle and do not score ourselves, I think they have the ability to crush us.

The Swans should start slight favourites, but I don't think it's as one-sided as you believe...There are arguments for both sides to win the game, and whichever team wins the game, I won't be surprised, IE - it won't be an upset whoever wins.

Given we generally lack the ability to destroy teams, I expect that we will never start as strong favourites against reasonable opposition.

Our biggest advantage is I don't think they can stop our forward line - only we can do that by not getting the ball down there.

But if West Coast wins, I will be upset!

Our forward line will be a test for them, with the full complement together for a change, however don't forget last time V WCE this year, Hall kicked 5 and O'Loughlin 3 ( he was hardly match fit though ) same story for Davis ( kicked 1 under a very bad injury cloud ) Can't remember how ROK went, but WCE are confident that their back line can do the job for them, even if someone kicks a bag, like Hall last time, they can still win comfortably.

Saturday night's game will probably be the closest game of all finals. West Coast are coming in with the best form but we are also peaking at the right time.
Mike Sheahan said on League Teams tonight that he reckons whoever wins between Swannies and Weagles will cause some damage in the remainder of the finals.
If we get past WC then I think we could be having a date at the MCG on the last Saturday in September...DARE TO DREAM!!

Our defensive midfielders (thanks Kirky!) have been very good all year and they will be up to the task. Sydney has never played well at Subiaco and the ground is the size of the Simpson Desert.
Also we lost Goodsey in the 1st bounce that day which had a physical and psychological effect.
I am quietly confident our forward line will break loose especially if Goodsey drifts forward every now and then.
However if Sydney gets 4 or 5 goals in front I'd prefer us to try and make it 10!! (even though this doesn't appear to be the game plan anymore!)
"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

I think we'll surprise a few with how easily we'll win.

                      1. Our forward line is too strong.
                      2. Home ground advantage - don't underestimate the fact the Weagles haven't played at TS - it's a huge plus for the Swans.
                      3. WC recent reliance on players (Adkins, Lynch, Staker, McDougall) who have come good in the last half of the season. They have little or no finals experience and will get an almighty shock when the first siren goes.

Playing in the Prelim last year will stand us in very good stead - watch for a burst of intensity from the first bounce by the Swans that will really hurt the Weagles.

Finals footy - got to love it!!
                      Regards,

My only worry is that our gameplan and tactics will be given to the West Coast by Jason Ball since according to my fav poster on Big Footy Longmire was the Deep Throat when we played North Melbourne.

I am worried about this one. The last time we played against a tall forward lineup was in the last quarter against the Kangas a few weeks ago. Remember? We can win, but I'm not confident.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Living over in WA I've heard all the crap from the WCE press & supporters & they think that beating us is just a formality.Knowing of their inexperienced forward line I don't know how thay can come to that assumpton they also think that Judd, Cousins & co are gunna rip holes through our midfield.
They don't know that we have two of the best taggers in the competion & it will prove their undoing.
