    Simon Black

Who/what would you trade for him, how much would you pay him and how long a contract would you sign with him?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

He's a god - best player in the competition!

I'd trade anyone and anything in our side for him except Hall.

I'd sign him for as much and as long as possible.

When I talk about midfielders, and their influence on a game and their ability to produce effective clearances and disposals, Black is what I have in mind.

Best in and under player in the comp for mind - clean hands, quick disposal by hand, tied together with accuracy at the same time. He is the primary reason Brisbane's midfield is so good at the stoppages - get the runners like Akermanis and Lappin going past Black....damn....no drool smilie...but you get the idea...

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Kind of unrelated but... There has been talk of chasing some of the St. Kilda midfielders to come to Sydney. After watching the match last night I can quite safely say our midfield is better than St. Kilda's. I certainly would take Simon Black from Brisbane but wouldnt touch Hayes or Ball or Dal Santo.

At least our midfield can compete with Brisbanes...

St Kilda played like deer in headlights yesterday but that shouldn't take away from the fact that those three midfielders you named are quality players - I'd quite happily see any of them running around in the R&W, especially Luke Ball. Ball and Dal Santo are both still very young and should have a fair bit of improvement left in them.

I'd be happy to have any of those three Saints midfielders play for Sydney. After all our midfield was like a deer in headlights against Brisbane in the last quarter of the PF last year.

id pay him $1.2 mil a year

id bandy around just about all of our current squad for high first round picks and then offer them to brisbane

              slight exaggerations included above
