    Williams the champion

What a great game by the champion 'old' midfielder - 31 possessions!!

And to think that someone on this site had him retired/over the hill this week.

It was only a matter of time he put in a blinder once he got his fitness back. You could just see he was up and about right from the first bounce.

Great move by Roos because it exposed Judd's lack of a defensive side to his game and unaccountability to a quality opponent.

What a timely game from the old champ! Quiet for a few weeks, but the final brought it all back!

Hes the forgotten man of our midfield. Great to see him hitting form at the right time.

Clearly his best game of the second half of the year.
Hopefully it was just the ankle all along, and he can play like that regularly agian.

Did they? I don't recall that, but he was my call as one of our most critical players in the finals. He is the classiest and most attacking midfielder we have, and I thought he needed to be firing for us to do well.

TO be honest, i was thinkin that this year could be his last due to injury and poor form....but tonight showed that he still has a lot left in the tank.

                  *Nadine bows to the champion*

He was playing with his foot injury again - because in the 3rd quarter when he went off he was talking to the trainer about it (well from 20 rows back right near the bench he was pointing to his foot) <g>

He's still signed on for another year if I'm not mistaken.

I love that he had Arabella in the rooms after the match - way too adorable doing the walk around the room with her

I think ppl are a bit harsh to say he should hang up the boots. He has had a poor season through injury. But his fitness is improving with each game and his class beginning to show. He's played with injuries for many games this season as well.

He is still one of our most important players. I can see him playing for another 2 years.

You know what that they say, in the finals the cream rises to the top.

Willo is pure class..loved when he tried the checkside pass to magic when he was hugged up against the boundary line..

Also forgot to add when Willo went off with 5 mins to go he got the biggest reception - only BBBH topped him when he was dragged off with 2 mins to go

And to think he was struggling with injury a little while ago. It was a great time to hit some excellent form!!!
