I reckon there will be 48500 in total and about 20000 odd Swans fans.

Last time they played each other in a Final at the G there was a few more!!!!

Last final we played at the G IIRC was in 99 when got belted by the Bombers - only kicked 7 goals for the day with Plugger kicking 5.

        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

          - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

I was all geared up to go .... but with it being friday night, I have no hope .... running a workshop in Wyong until 5pm and with 1.5 hours to the airport, I'd be in Melbourne only in time to sing the song at the end!

Being in your own business is mostly upside, but when there's no annual leave for things like this, there is a downside .

This is a really tough call to make on an interstate team. I'm sure there are plenty in a similar situation. With the Granny, at least I've planned to take the friday off.

Oh well, there'll definitely be a few of us at the Alex to cheer long distance. (Although I'll be racing to get there by 7pm!). Come along if you're not heading south. As I understand it, the big screen outside will be set up, as well as the tvs and inside big screen. And the food and drink is OK and a damn bit cheaper than at Stade Oz. (Whilst on that tangent, it was good to see glass glasses and a full bar service return to the main bar at the Novotel after the crappy plastic the last time we were there. But no chardonnay sipping, definitely the shiraz!)

That was a dog day, Ryan O'Connor was one of the few who put in, much of RWO will be pleased to know Sadds was appalling that day.

Rest assured that every Bloods fan within the state of Victoria will be leaving work on Friday with just one destination in mind... the mighty MCG!
OK... maybe the local for a few quick pots, but then... the mighty MCG!

If I can grab a ticket tomorrow I'll be making my first interstate trip to a match - so here's hoping it'll be worth it

Those were the days! In 1970 you had to buy tickets for all 4 finals in one go. There used to be a huge no set aside for Joe Public, sorted out by a mail ballot. I sent my $3.20 postal order for standing room tickets for all four games and bingo, got drawn out of the barrel. Because I had my own sport committments the old man took the three semi tickets down to the RSL and sold them for $4. So I saw the greatest Grannie of them all (only 121696 turned up) for free.

I'll most likely be watching the game at Mt. Buller.

It was a tough choice, but in the end my friends come first.
