I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
The media keep saying it and other teams' supporters are happy to believe it. Was interesting to hear the commentators at the start of this afternoon's Geelong Port game talk about how this great young Cats team is the best in the business at shutting other teams up and stopping them from scoring. Yet of course, this is not boring.
I love all aspects of footy and find the defensive battles as interesting as the explosive runs and spectacular marks. If people want to watch uncontested, unpressured footy I reckon they should just go and watch training sessions - or take up basketball.
For me the work of Kirky, the courage of B1 and B2, the attack on the ball of youngsters like Bevan and Buchanan is every bit as enthralling as speccies or runs down the wing. What makes our game great is that there is so much variety in the skills and types of play that are required to play it well.
The Swans have managed to produce two or three really dull quarters this year - the final quarter of the Adelaide game being the "stand-out" but you could probably find the same in the catalogue of most other teams when their skills are appalling or they can't be bothered to run.
Very true Liz, it seems it is only "boring" if Sydney shut down the other team otherwise it is good football.
Personally don't give a crap if it gets the results

When I think of that Final Quarter against Adelaide - I think it's nothing in comparison to the whole Adelaide vs Kangaroos match that followed weeks later
