I have a zillion footy superstitions (lucky ring, lucky underwear, etc.) but there is one omen ...
Call me crazy if you like (I very likely am), but I frequently have a nightmare, in the week preceding a match I am planning to attend, that it's the day after the game, and I've missed it. In my dream, I have totally forgotten to go to the match, and always say "I can't have missed it. This must be a dream, this must be a dream!!!". Every time I've had the dream this season, we won that week.
I had it last night.
Probably my subsconcious knows that I want to have this dream, but a girl can hope, surely....
We entered the trivia night at the West Ryde pub tonight, called our team "Go Swans". We won by 11 points and walked out with 50 bucks worth of free grog from the bottle shop.
Last night on the coverage of the All Australian, one of the first images shown in a quick retrospective of the season was Stuie holding the cup also....
that's the picture I found and thought at the time. Yep beaten those 3 first ones to get here. Will need to beat Port to get to the cup. It's amazing how you can condition your mind to see exactly what you want.
I'm going to try finding the Opera House in my tea leaves this afternoon.
Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release
We need
Love and peace
I have to have my scarf slung over my left shoulder.
I use to have to wear my members cap until Saturday night- I would have put it on had we been in trouble.
I had to do a Sheedy and hit my sister with my scarf when we scored.
NEVER sing "because we can can can, everybody can can" since the Roos match
I had two NIGHTMARE dreams during the H&A season:
1. We lost to Port.
2. We lost to Eagles. I nearly prdicted the margin!
Stuie has to loose the coin toss!!!!
edit: I do realise that these are superstitions and not omens (as the post is titled).
