I know it's all a bit premature since we're not in the PF yet but if this transpires I'll be mightily xxxxed off. I probably can take next Friday off but don't particularly want to, after being forced to take this Friday off as well.

I've just sent an email to the AFL imploring them to consider travelling fans and come to their senses. Of course it won't have any impact but at least its made me feel better.

I am really pissed off that I didn't get off my backside to go to TS vs the Eagles. I would have loved the flight back home.
It would have been the perfect game to
see - and no problems re tickets.

If they get past StK I hope its not vs Port in Adelaide. Methinks they will try extra hard to avenge 2003 and will probably succeed.

      I would think about going.

I've heard a different rumor, I'm not sure that Friday would be the option at all. I think the both games will be on Saturday, the only question is, which one will be in the Afternoon and which one in the evening. The only reason for the Friday night game would be if Ch 10 wants good rating, but they would aske for this slot only if the Saints advance to PF. If the Swans win on Friday teh game will be on Saturday for sure.
It think the Friday game was mentioned as an option in case the Saints win.

Better get the employment section out JF, I have seen you on TV at just about every game this year!

Wear some kind of mask and a different outfit to what you normally do. They might think it's you but they couldn't prove it

And do your cheering sitting down. In Melb there'll be others to lead the cheers. It will be better for your leg as well

[B]Of course, this is IF we make it. I'm assuming the game will be a Saturday night, but it may wellbe on a Sunday again. As Port tend to like Sunday matches the best.

Some of the flights look HORRIFICALLY expensive. Here are the one way flights on the evening of Friday 17 September.
                737-400

We plan on going up by car. 4 ppl in a car splitting the petrol prices is so much cheaper than a 200 odd dollar airfair!!

                    Yep that's right:

Looks like getting to Adelaide if we make it will be virtually impossible for me.

I wonder how many people will actually travel to Adelaide on Friday. This is ridiculus.

                          I don't believe it.

The AFL have given us an extra day to prepare if we get to the GF and have seriously made it tough for Brisbane.

We should be rejoicing, but lots of people seem worried that it will put them out a bit, or a lot.

                          Unbelievable.

                            Bit off topic:

Heard something intersting last night on Fox that was put to Lloyd. You guys have probably all talked about this already, and if so then there you go.

Bombers beat Dee's in Melb on the weekend. They will now play Geelong in Melbourne. If they win that, they'll play the whoever in Melbourne. If they win THAT - they'll play whoever in the GF in can you guess this one? Melbourne.

I mean c'mon! Mathew was finding it very hard to keep the smirk of his dial, and good luck to him. But faaaark!

I set myself a goal of going to every game this year. I have failed, yet again. I'm inconsolable at the moment.

I'll just have to do it next year. But I can't afford continually living like this.

The AFL is doing its best to @@@@ up this finals series.

Firstly, Ten gets its wishes for night finals but apart from the ones involving Sydney, we don't get them live.

Brisbane don't get any finals at a reasonable time this weekend and have their team shafted by the MCC.

Swans are scheduled for Friday night semi and then, fingers crossed, Friday night preliminary final meaning those who work can't get to Melbourne or Adelaide, those lucky enough to go to Adelaide risk missing out of GF tickets.

While Sydney's PF (if we make it) will be shown live, the other one almost certainly won't.

If Sydney doesn't win this weekend there will almost certainly be no free to air live coverage of the preliminary finals.

The PFs should be Saturday afternoon (MCG) and Saturday night (Adelaide).

The greediness of Ten and the AFL has ruined any chance hundreds of Swans fans like myself have of attending an interstate final.
