    You are ****ing kidding me.

How the hell are people from Sydney supposed to get over on 2 Fridays in a row.

This is a complete farce. Don't the AFL care about away teams and their fans?

I think the bigger farce is that the Friday night team has a massive advantage over the Saturday team. The Port PF should be on Saturday night.

Call to arms here, does anyone know Demetriou's email address. This would be totally unjust for the fans, however it would give us an extra day of recovery should we win the PF

Don't know how correct they are.Every other year the 2 Prelim finals are on saturday and sat night to make it fair for every one.

Great I will have to take yet another day off work to attend this match if we do indeed make it though this weekend. The AFL have rocks in their head if they think this is a fair and just move to make. The AFL are just bending over and taking what Channel 10 give them.

That is unless of course there are two Prelims set down for the MCG when they do Friday Night/Saturday Afternoon. However I believe that the MCG final won't be in the afternoon but the evening. This is because a request from Channel so that they can get huge TV ratings.

Yeah but its been a few years since there was 2 prelims at MCG.
This year is no different, expect the MCG match to be on sat afternoon, and the AAMI match to be on sat night.

At 8.45am tomorrow morning the AFL will anounce that the Prelim Final at AAMI Stadium will be on a Friday Night and the one at the MCG will be either Saturday Afternoon or Saturday Night. That was what was said on Talking Footy, which must be said was despite earlier comments by the AFL's media manager on the weekend that both finals will be on Saturday.

No doubt Channel 10 have had a word in the AFL's ear and demanded both Prelim Finals be played Friday and Saturday Night, so Channel 10 can get as big a ratings boost as possible.

What has happened before won't come into account.

As I said in another tread here, the Friday night option is open in case the Saints win SF. If the Swans win the game might be on Saturday to avoid going head-to-head with NRL finals and to guarantee maximum TV ratings.

I've aslo checked the Ch 10 web ste and PF's are still listed there as one day event only (the 18th).

                      Anyway, let's wait and see.

                          Yep sure are!

I am going to start thinking about the Prelim at approx. 10 pm Friday...(or killing myself, one or the other)

Too nervous to worry about whether it is Friday, Saturday or being played on Mars right at the moment

from what I hear they are too worried about appealing the J Brown charge at the moment. I wonder when they will see fit to release the details.

An eight-day break before a Grand Final could only be a good thing.
