Tickets are selling fast for both semi-finals, with 37,000 sold by late yesterday for Friday night's St Kilda v Sydney match, and 33,000 for Saturday night's clash between Geelong and Essendon. Tickets for both games will go on sale to the public from 9am today through Ticketmaster7.

    quote taken from the Herald

what will the crowd be? 60 - 70000?

I think it will be close to a sell-out.... Not sure what it holds at the moment - around 70,000??
Saints are in there first Melbourne final for a few years and Swans fans should be out in force.

MCG capacity will be about 71,500 this weekend
About 25,000 of 37,000 general seats for Friday night's clash between St Kilda and Sydney have been claimed.

There were still more than 4000 seats unclaimed in the AFL members reserve for Friday's game.
AFL members capacity is 14,000 so 10,000 have been sold.

The MCC member numbers are unknown. The capacity is also about 14,000 I believe. The rest is the corporate boxes etc I guess.
