    Roos/Wallace

I was one of those who signed the petition for Paul Roos to be given the coaching job, but I've always had a great admiration for the way the Dogs played under Wallace. It will be very interesting to see how he goes with Richmond in 2005 compared to the Swans who will be in the last year of Roosy's three year plan.

I believe Roosie has done about as much as he can with our current list. Simply, we lack perhaps two or three real quality players...and a couple of "hard nuts"...

I find it interesting to speculate on what Roosie might have done as a coach with the 96 team...or the 87 team...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Overall I'm happy with Roos and the way he presents our club in a professional manner, but am also a big fan of what Wallace acheived at the WB.

The only thing I am concerned with re Roos is his allergy to contested football. I don't think there are too many flags in 'uncontested football' gameplans. Too easily countered.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.
