Has had an excellent season, but I'm not sure he is the 'class' midfielder we're looking for. Seems to spend a lot of the time playing on the half forward line?

personally I think we need two midfielders a 6 footer and a silky skilled ball magnet Bruce would fit the 6 footer in my opinion and could rest forward

I think Bruce would be the perfect fit for us, he does have class is a great user of the ball, takes a good mark and can kick goals.

He would compliment our current midfield prefectly we have guys who can get in and under but we need then to get it to someone who can use it.... Swans should go for this guy as players of this class dont pop up very often.

        Cheers

Besides football ability Bruce has one thing sadly lacking in many Swans - he is intelligent and has a very good brain. I saw him interviewed on TV a while ago and he was very impressive as a person. I would love to have him at Sydney but don't think the Dees would let him go.

For the right deal...I'd take him!

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

Outside receiver. Too soft for mine.

Actually I'll think you'll find he was one of the leaders at Melbourne for contested possesions.

For the right deal I would take him, but he is not a priority.

Bruce is similiar to Nick Davis, except a bit harder.

"He led the club in hardball gets (57) and finished second in possessions (428), clearances (65), goals (34) and entries inside the 50m arc (92).

I think he could the running, long-kicking midfielder, combining nicely with Kennelly, plus we'd need an inside midfielder.

From the same article in the Herald Sun re Bruce

He led the club in hardball gets (57) and finished second in possessions (428), clearances (65), goals (34) and entries inside the 50m arc (92).

Not much not too like and probably the best midfielder on the market?

                        Cheers

Young midfielder, tall hard to match up on why wouldn't Sydney chase him if we are fair dinkum about chasing key midfielders

I certainly think we could find some room for him.

I'll be very interested to see what Melbourne wants in the trade considering

                              1. they can't really afford to lose him without adding a like player (as far as I know)
                              2. they are broke

I am guessing they will want a decent draft pick and a player that will not cost them the earth... if only they were a South Australian team everyone could be a winner...
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
