I read this article too, and was surprised by the implication that it was possible that Schauble (27) and Williams (31) would not play on.
I've never heard of either considering retirement
Maxfield should have retired IMO. I hope he relinquishes the captaincy at least.
Especially since the two of them are under contract for next year - Willo will be in his final year of his contract next year - so it'll be interesting to see if he goes on after that.

I have in fact read that Bally was considering his options.
I sense that Ball, Stewie and Willo are playing on because they think there's a chance of a premiership. Maybe they are confident of Sydney recruiting the key midfielder and defender come ruckman that Sydney needs. Surprised that Schauble gets mentioned. Maybe journos think he's older than he really is what with the grey hair.
Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
He has been saying it everywhere - or he said it once and it is being reported everywhere. To be honest - and maybe we need a 2005 BIG Statement thread - I would not be surprised to see him pull the pin mid way through next season. Hope I'm wrong but he knows that his time is nearly up.
