    Leaping Leo

Well done to Leo Barry for making it to 100 games this weekend. What a revelation he has been down back. Beats blokes who are bigger and taller than him week in, week out.

    Barry's 100th a test of time

RATED a phenomenal athlete by his coach, Swans defender Leo Barry will finally get a long-overdue "reward" tomorrow when he makes his 100th senior appearance against Fremantle at Subiaco.

One of Sydney's longest-serving players, 25-year-old Barry made his debut way back in 1995, but a succession of injuries stalled his progress.

"It's a long time coming. I thought I might have been able to get the hundred games up last year, but unfortunately I missed half of the season, but it's a bit of a reward for the last few years," Barry said.

A life-threatening lacerated spleen injury he suffered against Adelaide in Round 3 last season sidelined him for nine matches, but not for the first time Barry amazed his colleagues with his swift healing powers.

"I think he's an incredible athlete to be able to do what he did last year, and then this year he's had a limited preparation," Sydney coach Paul Roos said.

"To come back in Round 1 and be probably our third-best player in the game, he's a phenomenal athlete, he's quite amazing. He's very unique in that regard.

"There's not many guys who would be able to do what he did last year, or even do what he did in Round 1, because he hasn't had a large preparation.

"But it just shows you what a well-conditioned and natural athlete he is."http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/foo...E20322,00.html
