Bazza and Jude - Sydney's nominees for MVP award

    Read it here!

    MVP nominees

Also, Paul Bevan for best first year player and Leo Barry for most courageous (hardly surprising!).

Jude? Jude who? ( I can hear your heart thumping from here, Bron! )

Leo will win "head first"!! ("hands down" just didn't seem appropriate for Leo)

Jude>Kirk. The other players must have taken into account looks to come up with that one.

If they did they must consider Kirk to be very very ugly. Perhaps it is a Kevin Sheedy like conspiracy to up his trade value...

Players vote first for a player in their own Club and then for an opposing player.

It's quite interesting to see Jude being rated so highly - not just by his own team, but by the opposition as well. And remember that they're only voting for one opposition player, so he's either got a very high rating from within the Swans or a moderate rating from within the Swans + a number of votes from elsewhere. I venture to suggest that it's not because they all fancy him, so just maybe, he's in there doing a great job. I think that the players who are in there close up probably have a pretty good (dare I say better) idea as to who is important to a team (as opposed to the "experts" on here).

I was first impressed with Jude's attitude. Always focused, always determined, always doing his best. As well as that, he encourages and urges his teammates, always has a word for the youngsters and always congratulates someone who has done well. Hence my prediction, several years ago, of FSC. This appears to support that judgement.

Good on him, but players are going to rate him because he has a go and is hard on the ball. All the qualities none of us argue over.

Don't think he is in our top 2 at all though.

I am suspicious of anything that players vote on after Lonie was voted one of the most intimidating players in the comp(Bris players having a bit of fun)

The wording is a bit ambiguous but I took this to mean a two stage process:

                  1) Players vote for nominations from their own team. This is what has been announced today.

                  2) Players then vote from this list of nominees but ONLY for players from OTHER teams. This vote is what WILL be announced next week.

                  But I could be wrong

I was under the same impression as j s.

                    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

What you suggest JS and Mike makes more sense than my interpretation. Thanks for clarifying.
