RWO Grand Final day get-together

Hi gang,
Just wanting to test the water to see if anyone in Sydney wants to come and watch the Grand Final with us at the Sydney Aussie Rules Club in Kings Cross on Saturday. Beaussie and I have gone there the last 2 years and have had a great deal of fun (Ok, the Pies lost; why wouldn't you be having fun?)

The bar they watch the match in is right up the top past the pokies and TAB area. They often serve hot dogs and pies to the people watching the game. You tend to get a fair amount of expats along (teams up on an end-of season footy trip etc), so it is a good little crowd.

I'd be far happier to watch the game there than at the Alex where you get glared at for barracking by the designer jeans set. Last year Les Cygnes and I were quite feral, singing anti-Collingwood songs all day. This year we will be mixed as to who we are going for. So it could lead to a bit of banter inbetween us, which could lead to some fun and games.

I'm probably going to be meeting Cathy Marney at the Kings X station ticket barriers at 1-1:15pm. Anyone else want to come along?

Fun stuff. I will be in Sydney Thursday & Friday. Mum won't let me stay and watch the GF (bugger her).

On Sat I'll be on the hwy. (New England or In Land).

But hopefully I will arrive at my destination, Surfers Paradise, in time to go to a pub and watch the game.

Fox Sports World USA. (Huh, I though the World Series was the world-who needs to go outside the USA anyway!)

Glenn is going to Alabama USA for some suuuuuthern hospitality, I think.

Just don't try and butter your "biscuits and gravy" like I did. I thought they were scones! The other Yanks I was with all looked at me with horror. The English guy got one and started buttering his too!

Im goin to a mates joint with a big screen. We are havin a BBQ and some coldies while watching the Granny! Doesnt get any better. its gonna be a massive days, for some there itll be their first GF experience, im gradually converting my flock to Aussie Rules, its awesome.
