Yep, but it is a danger game. Then again, I thought last week was a danger game.
It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver. The Scarlatti Tilt - Richard Brautigan
I'll admit that I picked Freo in the RWO tipping comp. All the factors point to a Freo win - we lose doyle and cressa, we were playing the worst team in the comp, freo lost and will be keen to make amends at home...
Of course, as I mentioned in the other thread somewhere, I think we certainly CAN win it if everything goes right. What I'm worried about is our consistency and experience.
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out.... Des' Weblog
I did.
But I genuinely believe we will win. I do not rate Freo as highly as some, and believe they are a tad overrated.
Their defense is average at best, and without Parker, Koops and McPharlin they are short on their best anyway.
Croad is out, and Longmuir only just coming back. Farmer is also in doubt for the match.
I did too - hoping they keep the form of last week - I liked all the running and hope Jude Bolton plays as well this week. Really pleased to see him get heaps of the ball.

Sydney by 24 points
thats a pretty good wrap up of the game, im unaware we i can tip on rwo???
I'll admit I didn't, but I'm hoping like hell that I end up wrong.
I just think that beating Freo at Subi without Doyle, Cressa, Fixy and Mick is just too much for me too tip it. But that doesn't mean that I don't think it CAN happen... if we win, it'll mean to me that missing the finals would be a major failure.
We hate Anthony Rocca
We hate Shannon Grant too
We hate scumbag Gaspar
But Leo WE LOVE YOU!
Frankly, it always staggers me how some people can't tip against their side in the footy tipping. I don't really see the point of it.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."
The only time I have ever tipped against the swans was in 2000 (I think) against Essendon. It was a very wet day and the swans nearly pulled off a great victory (I think the margin was only about 2 goals in the end). I was watching that game and swore to myself that I wouldn't tip against them again.
Not only is it a very real possibilty (70-odd points the margin in the last encounter, Roos first game as coach), but it's a good '2-point' tip -- nearly everyone is tipping against us (see The Age and the Herald Sun).
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!
What else would a girl do? Of course I tipped the Swans. I do it every week regardless. If I don't believe, how can I expect them to? And if they don't believe, how can they win?
It goes back to my fundamental ..... there's no point having a team if you don't cheer for them.
