Since we havn't won a flag since 33' i can imagine some have been waiting for quite a while so put in your bids now for that most frustrated, longest waiting swans fan around. I've only been on the planet for 16 years and already its getting to me.
Whos been waiting the longest?

I've been waiting 30 years (which isn't since I was born).
My dad's been waiting 66 (born in '31)!!Last edited by NMWBloods; 26 September 2004, 12:20 AM.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

My mum has been waiting since they won the flag in 33 and her dad came home in a good mood. She decided to support them then and has ever since. She is now worried that she won't live to see a flag(she's 78).---------||--ANNE--||----------Comment

Glad to see I'm not the only one that has seemed to be waiting for what seems like a eternity for that premiership.
I got my first Swans membership at 10yrs old, now 53yrs old (Still Waiting) I cant imagine how good that feeling must be to follow a team that can win a Premiership, but I just keep hanging in there.Sydney Swans/SMFC "PREMIERS 2005"

Sorry, I can't compare to the longest serving amongst us, but I've been waiting since 87 (that's 1987 btw) when I got back to Oz from living o/s for 20 years...So, even though I am advanced in years, I consider myself just a fledgling in the waiting game..."Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."Comment

I've followed the club since the move to Sydney, so it has been a little while without a flag... before that I was a bit of a Geelong fan, and they also haven't won a flag in my lifetime. My mother is a Carlton fan and has celebrated 9 or 10 premeriships- can you imagine?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

I have been waiting 50 years but I am ever optimistic. My father was at the win in 1933 and also the GF losses in 1934 ,35 36 and 45. He has now moved to the big oval in the sky. Dad always maintained that when Laurie Nash was at the peak of his form he was the best player that he ever saw. I have seen some old footage of Laurie and he played a very physical game. As for Laurie being the best ever player I don't really know. Nash was once asked who was the best player that he had seen play and answered by saying that every time he shaved he saw the best player ever looking back at him . Lack of confidence was not his problem.WMPComment

Im only 18, and these replies are beginning to scare the @@@@ out of me!!- Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!Comment
