Talk is that Brisbane has been cut from 7 Melbourne games to 5.

If that is the case you would assume that we have been granted a couple of extra games in Melbourne as Brisbane will have taken our place in WA, SA & NT (although we would never be drawn to play at Marra).

As stated previously, it is really not an issue if we don't play in Melbourne till round 10. The issue is that we are given at least 6 games at the MCG and Dome next year.

Gerard Healy stated this tonight (Wed.), and he has good AFL and Swans connections so I believe it will be confirmed tomorrow. Remember my Ottens statement was spot on so please don't query or shoot the messenger. Ottens is not interested in moving to Sydney, it will only happen if a trade with a Melbourne club cannot be done. Richmond will not let him go into the PSD where a price on his head will be prohibitive to them.

I was told Healy said as such on his show, so it seems likely however the likelyhood is we will travel to Perth once (to play the Eagles), Adelaide twice and play the Roos and Dogs in Canberra and Sydney, with no trip to Brisbane. Thus 6 matches in Melbourne looks likely.

As somebody who flies around the country I do NOT want to be making two trips to Perth this year.

Adelaide I can handle, as I do like the place. But why not just have us playing once in both WA and SA. And have an extra game in Melbourne.

Would LOVE a trip to Darwin too. Never been!

More info here. We play Collingwood again at Telstra in the June split round (yay!).

                        Not that game.

I went to that game, and I think I had it worst of anyone here. I was sitting about 2 rows behind the Hawthorn cheer squad (I know one or two people closely associated with the Hawks) and I was the only person in red and white in the middle of a large sea of brown and yellow. It was almost embarrassing whenever the Swans kicked a goal because I felt so conspicuous.
