      Hi Guys

Don't forget that they have also lost Martin Pike and Craig Mcrae

Those players are key positional players and also they may not have darryl white as well if he is considering retirement

      Wow

Three colours out of the lions team

      No black brown or white

      Ha ha

      Regards Dazz

Where did you hear that Pike is gone? I know there has been talk of Pike retiring, but nothing confirmed AFAIK.

        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I reckon headbutting the club CEO would not be the most endearing thing to do

I don't expect this one to be as cut and dried as the media are portraying it.

Apparently the other senior players at the venue had asked Bowers (Lions CEO) to leave, but he refused and continued his discussion with Pike, which led to the headbutting incident.

That was the important part that was sort of only briefly mentioned in the Hun articles. He'd ignored the advice of players to leave before it became a problem.

The final decision will almost certainly rest with Matthews. As of a few weeks ago, he wanted Pike to play on. If that hasn't changed, I suspect Pike will still be a Lion next year.

If not... he could be a lucky charm... six grand finals in seven years... eight preliminary finals in eight years...
