    Whitnall?

No further news on Whitnall after the Saints attempt to get him failed. I was hoping he might end up in our forward line as one of the trade surprises. That would allow us to try out Davis and Schneider in the midfield.

I think he would have been a good pickup for a low draft pick or an unwanted player. A very good player in his prime, just needed a lot of work in the off season to improve fitness. I think he could play CHB and occasionally wander down to the forward line when needed.

haha, and I would have given my lunch for Chris Judd.

Some trades are just so unrealistic, its funny.

Just because I would have given that, didn't mean we would actually get him.

I'm not sure what Whitnall's trade value would be. What does anyone think (know) Carlton wanted for him?

maybe a third of his salary and a space on their list?
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Heard recently that Whitnall was trying out for the roll of Fat Bastard" in Austin Powers 4. Fat chance of him losing any weight. How many tries does he need. Maybe the good Dr.John Tickell could take him under his wing. Would need a bloody big wing though.

Fair dinkum Whitnall gets slower by the day.

they wanted a first and second round pick for him which is fair enough in my view

For what he is now, I think that's a bit too much. Potentially worth it, but it's a long road back for him.

agreed NMW but there would be a big upside if he could turn it around - i though he would be a good fit for the lions with Lynch retiring

don't think he'd want to show up to pre-season training overweight with lethal to answer to!
