I dont think so. There were no talks of him being traded back to Melbourne, and one would have thought he would have been a perfect candidate (along with Saddo and Fozzy) to be shipped off. The amount of game time he had was indicative of a player who had to prove himself or get traded, so unless he totally hits the wall in 2005, I think he is very much in Roos' plans.

You can only be traded if another team wants to trade for you. If we couldnt trade the likes of Saddo and Fosdike, there is no way someone like Ablett would have generated any interest, let alone any value.

All we can hope for is a big name in the pre-season draft with a very high price tag.
Um, is Ben Fixter still around? Or was he de-listed?

I worry about whether McVeigh has the build to survive a full season on the ball. I know he is young. But I just don't think he is going to be the type who'll be diving into packs and getting the ball out. Likewise Ablett, who is great when we are going well but woeful when we are under the pump. Davis, heaven forbid!

Schneider did have an awesome match against Essendon in Melbourne when playing on the ball. His fitness was crap this year. But with a good pre-season behind him, he may be the player who could fill in that void. We all know he DOES have the skills.

Either way moving a player like Schneider to an onballer will rob us of a half forward capable of kicking freakish goals.

McVeigh is an outside midfielder which each team needs. Especially when we have Bolton and Kirk getting their heads over the ball.

I have high hopes for him, but unfortunetly by the cruel vaguaries of time will simply replace Willo so no net benefit.
