Yeah? Recovering as in a hang over or...?

Well it was my first Family Day and as you can see I enjoyed quite a bit

Maybe Family Days are more for 'Family's' maybe? It did tend to excite the young ones altho there were some adults and teens there. I loved it!!!
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

I wasn't all that impressed with the Family Day, my kids are aged 12 and 8 and after the first 10 minutes they had done all the activities and were looking for more.

It was disappointing that they only picked one kid to do the handball competition.

Big improvement was that this year they had a few more food stalls and they seemed to cope. But as Cher said numbers were down on last year.

The band was fantastic as well.

Without wanting to sound too negative they really need to provide more activities for kids, not every kid wants just to stand in line for a players autograph for hours on end.

It need not be that hard to organise kicking competitions, for the boys etc.

I agree 100% on both statements. I thought they would've done atleast 20 or so kids. I was getting suss when the Competition entries were going into a ballot type box. Yes they should've had more handballing & kicking activities too. Only half the oval was being used maybe next year they should put more food/activitie stalls using the whole oval. My dad is going to ring up and enquire on using our Sorb?t machine That would be cool!

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

I was on the Gold Coast the weekend before last. The Schoolies definitely deserve the rep they get. I wandered into Cavil "Feral" Avenue at 5pm. There were hordes of 18 year olds standing on balconies having screaming contest. There would be one loud scream, then a minute or sop later there would be another scream from another apartment.

We went on a drive to Byron on the Sunday and drove home through central Surfers at night. The main part of the Gold Coast Highway was cordoned of by police brandishing batons. We had this drunken 18 year old try and throw a glass bottle at our car, for no reason. There were even lovely old lady Schoolies volunteers there in pink 'Schoolies support crew" t-shirts going around assisting the said drunken 18 year olds back to their hotel rooms.

I was coming out during this time, so missed schoolies week. But man, maybe it is me being gay or something. But even when I'm totally smashed I never get violent and want to start fights. I just don't get why or how people seem to get really violent when they are really drunk.

I was lucky I could stay by the pool at the Mirage sipping Pina Coladas.
