If this goes ahead, which i dont think so, do you think there will be a Package for tickets for both games. And also why play the swans game 1st, that means it would have to start at 4pm and the rugby would start 8pm

If there is a package then it would definately benefit the numbers for the Swans game, but at the same time make everything more expensive. Not sure if Bledisloe fans would be willing to pay more than it already costs. They'll probably end up Giving the Swans a friday night match.

If they did the only way it would work is with Aussie rules first because of the retractable seats issue - takes 8hrs to retract or (what's the opposite of retract?) them so they'd have to leave them retracted for the union, which wouldn't please the ARU - less seats = less money.

          Bah we got in first!

hopefully there is a useful solution just around the corner, although i have this feeling that the Swans are going to be the ones that suffer from this.

Too true, would it be too drastic to play the Bledisloe at a different location this year? I'm pretty sure NZ alternates the location of their home leg.

I wouldn't mind going to a double header - I just wouldn't leave the ground from start to finish

Who got the booking in first - AFL!

Bugger the BleedingSlow cup - they can play it somewhere else! If I was the AFL I would be asking for $1M in compensation to move the game if push comes to shove. May as well move it to the SCG and take the other games there as well if the Telstra Stadium trust wants to play tough.

We should just bloody get it.

We put in money for that reconfiguration - it annoys me that Telstra Stadium can bid for International and State Cricket because they now have a cricket ground thanks the AFL and Swans hard work, yet we have to fight it out with the other rugby code to get one of our games on.

I know the answer, watch our game. Then hide in the toilets strapped with explosives during the second.

Give in to those maggots under NO CIRCUMSTANCES. If we do, the ARU know we are a soft touch.

I have a SWANS membership. I do not want to watch the UNION. And will injure people who do in my vicinity.

The AFL have the ground booked, with the game scheduled for a 7:20 start. It should be all over by around 10. It's an existing, locked-in booking. If the rugby union want to play the Bledisloe Cup after the footy is finished, with an 11pm or later kickoff (it'll take at least an hour to put the goalposts in and paint the line markings), that's fine with me.
But if those unethical fascist rugby spivs gazump the footy, then it proves Stadium Australia are just as morally bankrupt as the rugby union.
