    So Still No Official Word....

About who our (minimum) two players are to be delisted before the draft.

Does anyone have a list of our uncontracted players?

We all know that the rumour is that James and Thewlis are the two to go.

But just to give us something to think about would someone be so kind as to let us know who has not resigned for 2005. Surely at this time anyone without a contract must be feeling a bit nervous?

Maxfield, Williams, Schauble and Ball have all either signed for next year, or reaffirmed that they will fulfill their contracts.

    M. Davis, Willoughby, Schmidt, Buchanan and Erikson were drafted last year so have another year to go on their contracts.

    Powell
    LRT
Schneider...were drafted in 2001 so they have just completed their 3rd seasons. I assume that they are on 2 year contracts so should be safe for 2005.

Saddington? There was trade talk and he was talking about next year, so one would presume he is under contract.

Fosdike? Same as Saddo, as far as I know. Does anyone have confirmation?

Mathew Nicks' contract has just finished so he should be out of contract.
He is eligible to be placed on the veterans list, though so he is not a factor in needing to have minimum player numbers. In other words his delisting would not MAKE WAY for a young player.

    That leaves....

    Fixter
    Ablett
Sundqvist ..... have just completed their 4th years. Drafted players have 2 year contracts and then usually sign for 2 more (unless they are stars!) so I am assuming these three are out of contract.

    McVeigh
    Malceski
    Dempster
Thewlis...... have just completed their initial two year contracts so they are out of contract too.

James.....was added to the seniors this year, presumably on a one year contract. But that is not stated on the website. So we assume he is out of contract.

at the B&F I was talking to Josh and at that point had not re signed, but also mentioned that a few hadn't and all were feeling less than comfortable.

I'm pretty sure there is an option for players to have three year contracts from there draft.

Can anyone confirm or discredite this?

Fitzy was on a three year contract initially IIRC. The two year minimum length seem only apply to the draftees in the first (few?) round(s). Many clubs did sign players to much long period. Fitzy is not an abrevation.
