159 consecutive games from debut is. Pretty sure 158 from debut is the mark set by the fellow from Fitzroy (can't remember his name/can't be bothered looking it up).

That fellow from Fitzroy was named John Murphy and he won a Best and Fairest at South Melbourne.

Still 89 games to get past Jim Stynes, and even then it's likely that Yze will have got there first. Crouchy's hopes of holding the record outright rest on Yze either hurting himself or doing something silly.

Assuming no mishaps and a couple of finals along the way, he should get there in 2008.
