I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
on channel 10 news (Melbourne), it showed footage of many of the players running. Roos is putting the acid on Schneider and Davis to get fit enough to regularly play midfield. Was suggested elsewhere that Davis is on his last chance.
"Leo Barry, Ben Mathews, Jared Crouch and Jason Saddington are the main four that we will not see until after Christmas and most of the others will filter back in between now and our last session before Christmas."
Barry Hall, Matthew Nicks, Adam Goodes and Mathew Davis are also amongst a group returning from off-season surgery.
Nick Davis, Michael O'Loughlin, Ben Fixter and Mark Powell are on restricted training, while the elder statesmen Jason Ball, Stuart Maxfield and Paul Williams will commence training on Monday 22nd November.
Jude Bolton, Brett Kirk, Craig Bolton and Tadhg Kennelly are due to start on Monday 29th November after taking part in the International Rules Series.
Yes I did White Fox and if you speak to Roos you will find that that was the intention. The sticking point was one year left on the contract. My gut feel is that he would retire anyway. So I guess it is up to Schneider and Davis to accept the challenge, injury permitting, and prove to the selectors that they can play at their best and work hard as midfielders. Certainly the team needs and injection of class in the middle.

Assuming this is all true it seems to demonstrate that Fosdike only figures in any midfield equation based entirely on his better fitness.

Wasn't this the main problem with both these players this year? I was there to see Nick play the first half at the GABBA and he looked awesome. I've no doubt his year would have been extremely different if he'd not injured himself then.
Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release
We need
