    Lrt

Aside from the fact that we need him to step up to address a key weakness in our team structure, i really hope that he has a great 2005 so that we can stick it up some of the moronic posters on a certain website who believe he is a dud

How does everyone think he will go in 2005? Where do you see him playing?

When it comes to LRT, the most optimistic I can be is to say: "Talls take longer".
But, on the balance of probabilities, I doubt he will be on our senior list in 2006 - he just does not have the talent.

I agree, he has been dissapointing in the games he has had.

That said, he has had a lot of expectation put on his head and has not lived up to these expectation.

Not all players show star qualities after a dozen or so games. I think his biggest negative is his decision making, but that is something that will come with time.(hopefully a short time)

I think 2005, could be his make or break year, he will have to prove he is worthy of a regular senior spot.

Disagree, very young in terms of total games played, physique improved his skills for his size are not bad, he has a future IMHO.

agreed. good in the air and gutsy. hope his kicking improves this year.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

In the games I have seen him play I thought he had very good judgement to take marks. Andrew Dunkley could not kick but held down the fullback position for us because of his ability to do this. I see lrt maybe filling a similar roll.

LRT will be given the chance that James had this year - a starting role down back even if it may be coming off the bench. I can't think of anyone else with the exception of Saddo that's ready at this stage. I don't know why he's bagged so much. Sure his skills are still developing but I thought his rookie year was quite encouraging.

Are those people saying that LRT cannot play the same who are demanding McGlone be given a fourth year on the rookie list?

Roberts-T has imposed himself on the reserves games I've seen him play (not that many during the past season due to the string of injuries he had) far more than any other up and coming player currently on the Swans list other than maybe Monty.

He played some decent football at senior level in 2003, including a game good enough to get him a RS nomination.

He clearly has the raw ability and to say he is talentless is so far off the mark as to be unbelievable. He needs experience, he needs more confidence at first grade level and he needs to trust his instincts better (which should come from more confidence and greater experience).

I'm pro-LRT too. A bit disappointed with this year (after probably overly high expectations) following his good first year. I'm still keen to see him play some more and succeed.

whats wrong with his decision making? sure, he takes a while, but he will choose the right option... id rather him hold play up for a while and choose the right option than bomb it long and hope for the best...

the best component of his game is his marking ability, as well as the courage to crash packs. holds him in good stead for a key defensive position, IMO. if he takes a mark in the back line he will have one of kennelly, barry, mathews, crouch or bolton cruising past ready for the off load, the dunks style of rebound footy...

tend to agree with the positive side of the LRT argument. good mark, will only get stronger and needs to adjust to the pace of top level footy. i think he will get tried in a variety of positions in the defensive 50.
