Free Telstra Stad. Transport + Voting rights

I am surprised I haven't seen a thread dedicated to either issue yet.

Just reading the letter from Myles in the renewal pack I was happy to find that we no longer have to pay for public transport out to Telstra, which saves a lot of us 18 bucks a year - which basically offsets the $25 dollar rise that my membership had...

Also, we will be electing (in some capacity) two directors this year, which has never been an issue for me personally, but seeing I have political interests I can't wait to see who runs and on what issues etc!.

Why don't you run for it?

Are you sure, lmao. Atleast you could have a go. My Dad stood for council but he got 2nd in votes

2nd in primary votes is a very good thing, annoying to be close, but a good thing! and yes very very sure BonBon!

Yesh it is painful if you come 2nd but if you come near the end, it's obvious that you're not council-material.

Example: If Swans were in a Grand Final and it was close but they lost - that is excruciating BUT if they played and it was approx 50-100 point margin, then you know that the Swans weren't meant to be in the game at all!

The other part of the membership deal that caught my eye was another free hat this year. Surely swans supporters arent going to not wear this year's hats again because they will be 'so last season'. I would have thought a membership scarf would have gone nicely with the 2004 hat.

Coming from out west the free train tix will save me more than 30 bucks so I will break better than even on last year. Not sure about the brolly though, on past experience it will have a life expectancy of about 2 rainy days before I lose it somewhere.

The hat is only for the kids (in the JAM pack).

And I DO get a scarf this year (even though I already have three to go with the four caps).

We scored 5 caps. Maybe if they didn't put the date on the caps, they would be useful next year. OMG I beg for Swannies Trucker Hats! Go the Trucker Caps!

Well, if you ask nicely, there are people who will gladly take one of the off your hands JS.

Having said that, I already have 4 Swans scarves in various styles.

Keep giving Swans caps away, as I get so many. Have a 1995 "Sydney's team" one. Used to have a white "Onward to Victory" one from 1997 as well.

I have a coat stand with many signed caps. They just hang there and when I go for a run I grab one with the exception of the current years one (don't want it all sweaty and yukky for game day).

The hats not too bad, but I'd rather have that price come off my ticket. I added up this years membership and it's a costly little venture for me and the kids.

I still think one of the best caps they did was the one in about 98 or 99 with your members number on the side. That one still gets an outing from time to time.
