Lucky they relocated or you would have had to put "bad weather" on the list too.

Why such a negative Sentiment Sharpie?

I gather from your comments you won't be a member for 2005?

Come on, is it not blatantly obvious that this thread was completely tongue in cheek? I listed things like bad smell and bad hairstyles after all.

It was a comment on some other threads that seem to pop up with amazing regularity, from one poster in particular.

Sorry mate, I knew it was tongue in cheek that's why I questioned you about membership next year.

I agree, some people are WAY to negative about the Swans.

I actually was questioning whether to remain a member again next year or not, but for entirely different reasons. I had to decide if it was worth being a full member when I am also an SCG member. I only ever use my swans membership at homebush, so I was considering getting the supporter package or whatever they call it, which doesnt include entry to games. However, that just means it becomes a hassle to get tickets for homebush and i dont get priority for finals, so i decided to stay a full member.

I really wish they'd offer a membership just for homebush games that would still allow me to get finals tickets early.

I have one gripe about the Swans.

I WANT to be a member next year, Have I received any information about membership packages or costs yet? NO
Are they available on the website (Like every other club)? NO

They seem to be going out of there way to make it difficult for new members to sign up, I understand that there are issues with the number of memberships available due to the size of the SCG, so why not move the whole shebang to Stad Oz? TThis would allow an almost limitless number of memberships to be available. Also the facilities are better and it is easier to get to from my home in Hornsby, its just a shame about the lack of choice of after game watering holes.

Anyway getting back to the issue, when will I find out how much it is to be a Swan in 2005?

Here's a link to the info you need. You'll have to click the link at the end of the article to put your name on the wait list.

I too cant understand the lack of options for membership, especially with regards to seating options. There should be a membership for unreserved seating in the general admission area of the ground. As far as I know there isnt such a thing at the moment. That would solve the issue of limited number of reserved seats that they can allocate, and the number of tickets they can allocate to the members reserve area.

You forgot the most important one from a typical Sydney fan's point of view: bad chardonnay selection at the SCG. How do they expect me to carry on an intellectual conversation whilst ignoring the game if I can't get suitably inebriated?

I have my name on the waitlist, that is not the issue.

My gripe is that all other clubs have membership information for potential new members freely available to all, yet the Swans hide it away and make people wait with no inkling of when this top secret information will become available. You start to wonder if it is controlled by the Official Secrets Act and won't be released for general consumption for 30 years.
