Whilst writing my last post, I thought wouldn't it be a great idea, if RWO came up with an advertising campaign or other creative mean in overcoming the disappointment of the switch of our game to Sunday afternoon.
Once we had a number of ideas or suggestions, we could have someone submit them to the Swans Marketing Dept in the next month or so and hopefully they will adopt them.
I feel that your usual Sunday afternoon advertising campaign will be lost on the Sydney market. I'm not sure if our marketing people can come up with something better.
It's a thought seeing there is not much football news at the moment.
We can't change the fact that the game has been changed lets see what we can do to benefit from it.
To get things going here are a few quick suggestions:
1. Get into bed with the ARU and get them to advertise the weekend as a double header. Give a discount to people who turn up on Saturday night to come in again on Sunday. Make sure that they get the money off them before Sunday though.
2. Very creative advertising campaign for television/radio but you'd want to add something to it to make people come especially if they had been ther the night before.
3. Converts loads of Kiwi's to Swan's supporters.
