    Improved Physiques for 2005 Season

I have looked at our player list and named a few members of our squad who will hopefully have a bit more muscle / size for the AFL season.

Here is what I think, the (2005) is what I think is a realistic weight gain from the start of 2004 to the start of 2005.

It will be interesting to see their heights and weights and see how more AFL Ready several of our younger players are in 2005.

    183 cm - 78 kg (2004)
    183 cm 80 kg (2005)

    184 cm 80 kg (2005)

I don't think C Bolton needs to bulk up any more.

It is a good point that C Bolt is more of a utility and as such may not need to bulk up, but at times last year, when he was faced with playing on some of the larger KPP it was a difficult task.

I do like C bolts defensive side, he is an excellent spolier and with a little more bulk my perception is that he would be an even better 3rd tall in defence.

However, I am open to other peoples aguments, it is interesting how guys like Saddo and Powell and LRT are still a bit on the lean side, I think LRT is priority number 1 to put on a bit more beef to take on the larger C H B's.

I am looking forward to this year I think there are a couple of player who will take the next step, plus the increased depth with Jolly and Spriggs joining the team.

It is an interesting point of players that need to lose weight.

I think Nick "Junk Food" Davis can lose a bit of paunch, which is obvious.

It will be interesting to see if Schmidt and Moore tone up a bit and maybe, whilst I love Schneiderman, it would be interesting to see if he muscles up a bit too.

                P.S. Rok Lobster

I am trying to go from

                191cms 115kgs
                to
                191cms 105kgs
I am still making Ricky Mott look like a gazelle.
LRT + Schneids + The Mullett = hope for the future.

Nick Davis was holding up the Champagne bar at the Melbourne Cup and I thought I was seeing things when FLAB was hanging out of his suit jacket.....There could be some truth in the above assessment !!

Davis looked like he had more handles than the latest Japanese car.....

Craig Bolton's physique is about right. Put much more weight on him an he becomes a tubbly, slow, fat bastard.

That's a big call on Davis and Malceski, 7kgs is 14 tubs of margarine. Strap those to your body and see what you look like.

By the way, for these elite athletes, how else do they put on weight other than doing heaps on weights, taking protein supplements and pigging out?

Muscle bulk is usually the best way to put on weight, but because it's so heavy, you can put what appears to be nothing on, although the scales may show a 2-3kg increase. Fat on the other hand shows up very quickly because it's not very dense at all, so very little can take up lots of room. Athough I think some of the "I'd like to sees" are either a little ambitious or not based on anything in particular other than a few kilos more than at present?

I don't want to break with thread tradition too much, but I spotted Nicky D recently and he didn't seem particuarly heavy at all.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

But that's only because you lost one pincer escaping BonBon's clutches.

                          Is it growing back yet?

LOL ! He was definately a fatty boombah back then but Stellation is right, he has trimmed down and is getting fitter. His ankle is finally on the mend as well.
