    Crouch needs more surgery

    Crouch will undergo another operation on Friday. His shoulder is not mending properly - wand requires a longer screw and bone graft. Doesn't sound promising for him - to be on track to start game 1. Story from AFL site.

    As I always say, Aimee won't be happy
    Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

      News not good for Crouch

      "This is going to put me back another six weeks, so it will probably be February until I start running, so I will have a limited pre-season.

      And on the record;
      "The goal is round one, not for any record, but because every player wants to play the first game, you always want to get off to a good start," Crouch said late last week.

        Will affect him dramatically because running is so central to his game.

          Yep. We should have competition for little fella spots this year too... do we play Crouch Rd 1 at limited fitness if we have to leave out another potential Best 22 player?
          I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
          We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

            Six weeks before he starts running surprises me a bit (but what do I know). The fact that it hasn't been healing must be a worry.

            I'd be very surprised though if he wasn't hitting the exercise bike to maintain his aerobic fitness

              I was being prepped for a bone graft into my tibia and just as I was about to be wheeled off, they came in and told me to get dressed, and that in the last 2 weeks there had suddenly be a substantial amount of growth and I didn't need the graft.

              Pretty happy with that as you have to also endure the pain from where they took the bone, providing they did an organic graft, and I have heard it can obviously be quite painful.

              Hope he's back for round 1, and I can't see the Swans playing an unfit player in this day & age...
