For those who tuned in, Sydney vs Melbourne from ANZAC Day 2003 was just on the box, and good lord did it get me amped for the coming season!!! Watching Schneider pump one from 50 and the lads turn a 20 point deficit into a comfortable win via a 10 goal final term has got me hungry. Jason Ball said it best after the game - "Its out there playin footy with my mates that i love" - the passion within the club and shown on the field has got me so keen to crack open a coldie and watch the season unfold...Only 73 days til Kick Off, I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!!

It's about as meaningful as getting overexcited about beating Carlton or Western Bulldogs in 2003!Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Watched the Round 6 match from 2003 against Collingwood the other morning and I think that match is a pointer towards the style Roos will be looking to use this season (At times open, direct and attacking like it was for most of 03, but also at time we were able to hold the game up as per 04)Once was, now elsewhereComment

Don't apologise. Your excitement is more welcome on this board than the rantings of certain other miserable gits.Originally posted by motorace_182

I am totally getting pumped for it. I bought the highlights of 2003 the other day, i couldn't stop smiling and there was shiver running up my spine in parts. Especially in the anzac day match where a relativly unknown Schniederman came out of nowhere, kicked a couple brilliant goals and made a name for himself. if he fires like that this year and Johny O'keefe and Bazza continue their form from last year, we'll be in with a real shot."Red and White for blood cells, Red and White for wine."

I think the coaching staff realise that too footyman. With the addition of Spriggs and Moore.McVeigh,Schneider,Buchanan,Ablett,Willougby, Schmidt,Malceski and even Ed Clarke, if injuries give him his opportunity, will all get their chance in the midfield this year as well but at least their is a lot of depth there.Originally posted by footyhead
