    Paul Roos on SEN today

Anyone else happen to hear his brief interview on SEN this morning? I was expecting to find a thread on it here so didn't take any real notes on the interview. Fuzzy memories:

    - The club was disappointed with Schneider's work recovering from injury over Summer, but he is working hard on the track now.

    - Saddington is set to resume full training in a few days.

    - Barry, Hall, Goodes and Crouch had operations over the pre-season.

    - Roos regards Jolly as a great athlete and is very impressed with Spriggs' conditioning.

    - The club was very pleased with the rookie draft proving tall players.

    - The opening Wizard Cup game will feature many young players including rookies Vogels and Campbell (referred to those two several times IIRC) and I think he also mentioned Willoughby by name.

Sorry I couldn't be more detailed, but as noted I wasn't expecting to be providing a report. Any corrections or additions would be appreciated.

Isn't it summer at the moment?

Or was it that they were disappointed with his efforts during the season?

I heard Roos as well, good summary, I gathered what he meant about Schneider was that he came back from the original break in worse condition than expected.

also mentioned that MOL is being nursed along as always. Was really pleased to get some heights with the rookies, mentioned Vogel and Grundy and pointed out how well Bevan did last year.

Sorry, by summer I meant the off-season. Interesting to hear criticism of a player like that, but it sounded like Schneider had got his act together.

The GF sprint's already sewn up for the foreseeable future . . . Garrubba is national class over 100m.

Unless he's playing in the GF, of course.

If we were to have a football Olympics, we would win hands down. We have some of the leagues best in the sprint (Crouch, Garrubba, McVeigh), long distance (Spriggs, Fosdike, Kirk, Dempster), swimming (LRT), weight lifting (Hall).

Maybe that's what we are recruiting for???

Hall could also represent in Boxing and probably wrestling.

And Leo in the High Jump.

Don't forget Boxing (Hall) Soccer (Goodes) Rugby (LRT) League (Bevan and any other Sydney raised boys) and the demonstration sport of Gaelic Football (when Dublin gets the games!)
