    Captain

If Maxfield was to retire at the end of this season - which many are predicting - who would you think would be captain and why?

And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

    Who do you choose LS?

I chose B1. I picked him as a future captain when he first started and I still think he has commitment to be the leader.

      I don't think JBolton is a captain's bootlace.

I'm not sure who yet, but I'm sure there are better than him.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

i agree with bolton - but every time this debate comes up i hear his name chucked in, so i decided to include him to see what people thought.

Me - i think Barry Hall has changed his temperment greatly and would do a great job as captain - inspirational etc. yet i think he seems a little unapproachable with the press and umpires and i dont know how the rest of the swans community i.e children would react to him being captain. after all - he wouldnt be your usual type of captain.
the swans seem to pick 'hard nuts' to be the captain - maybe because they are hard at the ball and set the example in that sense i.e maxfield. maybe the swans could use a softer natured captain i.e goodes - hence i included him in the poll.

        interesting, dont you think?

Obviously a toss-up between Jude Bolton and Jason Saddington, with maybe Fearless Fosdike as a roughy.

Yep, and Cliff as the next PM and perhaps he should also get the Nobel prize for literature...

Would have thought that those two outcomes would be mutually exclusive?

Looking at it objectively, Bolton must have a second to none chance of getting the job, given the respect he has at the club and in the media.

When he gets appointed, will you be changing your loyalties?

He probably does have a good chance, however that doesn't mean I'll like it.

LS, you obviously feel that a "snag" is ineligible to be our captain. We have one who is All Australian, has G&D aplenty, sets a great example and has brains. Plus the perfect name. Unless he's planning an early retirement to Nimbin I reckon the Captain is our man.

Stuart Maxfield will go one more year.

                          Jude Bolton as captain?

Has April Fools day come early this year?
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

i have nothing against Hall - i just think hes demenor (spell?) isnt what you would usually call 'captain quality'. hes a little short fused at times, sometimes a little cold to the media - which is not the best sort of behaviour for a captain.

but as i said - its interesting. im sure he would make a great captain though and prove me wrong
