If Faifax buys Channel 10....
......then you will see a lot more swans coverage in the SMH.
......and, can they please fire Stephen Quartermain?Last edited by The Undertaker; 17 January 2005, 06:07 PM.Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

No, fire Robert "I'm a school teacher, you've been a naughty boy" Walls. He is King of stating the bleeding obvious!Originally posted by The Undertaker

is there a link about this? i know that CanWest own forty something percent of the Ten and cannot buy a controlling interest re:foreign ownership of media guidelines.
i would welcome Fairfax getting into television media.
cheers

There were a few stories in the business papers last week; it's still very early days. The deal might not happen.

thanks for the links, much appreciated. still doesnt explain why canwest are divulging the assets. but more than makes sense for fairfax to buy doesnt it!!!!
i think you would see a marked improvement in tens news etc. canwest owns global tv in canada and they are easily the most naff of media outlets (despite JFs adoration of BCTVs theme.....he he he)
maybe steve quartermain will be taking a long walk off a short pier. he was the reason i ceased watching the panel when i was back home. his "sporting coverage" was just his overly opinionated self coming to the fore rather than a sporting overview that was intended.
cheers

The SMH has always given all the codes a fair go, I hope that will extend to Channel 10 if Fairfax buys it!Comment
